Oral Health and Heart Disease

The majority of HMDC staff recently attended a lecture by Joseph Piscatella, author of Prevent, Halt & Reverse Heart Disease. As discussed in his book, "Inflammation caused by chronic mouth infection may irritate the arteries of the heart, making them more susceptible to plaque buildup. Bacteria from the mouth can also enter the bloodstream and attach to plaque in these arteries. Floss for a healthy heart."

It is important to have your teeth cleaned regularly. Visithttp://mytuckerdentist.com/our-services/regular-cleanings.html to learn more about cleanings and why they are important. Call 770-496-0496 to schedule your next appointment.
