Dr. Uetsuki participates in Softball Tournament

On October 25th the Japanese Chamber of Commerce held their annual softball tournament.  Many Japanese companies in Atlanta compete each year.  Dr. Uetsuki participated in the event along with the Consul General of Japan, representatives from Aon Risk Solutions and other Japanese small businesses.




Dr. Uetsuki has participated in this tournament for more than 15 years now.  It has become another tradition of the Uetsuki household.  This year his oldest daughter was super excited to sit in the dugout and rooted them on.  She received a gift certificate for most spirited team member.

The majority of the team reunited again on Tuesday, November 3rd at the residence of Mr. Sunaga, the Consul General of Japan, for a dinner celebrating another year.  Henderson Mill Dental Care is proud to have Dr. Uetsuki represent us in this event each year.  Go Team United!

Halloween 2015 at Henderson Mill Dental Care

Henderson Mill Dental Care celebrated Halloween a little earlier this year.  Today we shared our team spirit and dressed in our favorite team sports jersey.  We all got in some fun and exciting huddle time together.

Huddle up ladies!  Well, maybe for one it seems a little too close for comfort.  Hygienist, Connie is always the life of the party.

Then of course we had a few rivals, like Dr. Uetsuki and Dental Assistant, Korlu.

And it wouldn't be complete with out our Hygienists.  They shine and bring lots of fun to the party.

They are our cheerleaders!  And yes, that is a Wisconsin badger hat on Connie's head.

Dr. Cook and a few Henderson Mill Dental Care staff members took a course over the weekend in Charlotte, NC on communications. It was a great experience and they are excited to share with the rest of the office and start implementing new processes.

Brighter Smiles for Brighter Futures Campaign

Hygienist, Heather and Dr. Uetsuki and his wife, Melanie, attended a kick-off on Thursday for the Brighter Smiles for Brighter Futures campaign. Dr. Dan Dunwody spoke on Orofacial Diagnosis; something that Dr. Uetsuki is becoming more and more aware of in his practice.

What is an FAGD? The AGD (Academy of General Dentistry) offers Fellowship (FAGD) and Mastership (MAGD) awards to members who truly go above and beyond in their learning. To earn a Fellowship award, a dentist must complete at least 500 continuing dental education hours, pass a rigorous and comprehensive exam, and maintain AGD membership for three continuous years. Maximize your Dental Insurance Benefits before Year End!

This post is especially important to those of you with dental insurance.  Most dental benefit plans have a fixed annual limit. If all of the benefits are not used by the end of the year, then these benefits are lost. These are benefits that you have paid for in your monthly premiums. 

If you are considering returning to our office to have your teeth professionally cleaned, or if you have postponed needed dental treatment, please call our office at 770-496-0496 to make an appointment before your 2015 dental benefits expire. 

Also, if you have already met your deductible in 2015, then you can proceed with needed dental treatment now, rather than waiting until next year and having to pay another deductible.
Please keep in mind that most dental benefit plans are based on a “use it or lose it” system.  Don’t let unused dental benefits expire at the end of the year.

Please call our office at 770-496-0496 prior to DECEMBER to reserve your appointment because we get very busy during the months of November and December. 

 

Izumi placed 2nd in Ironman

Join HMDC in Congratulating Treatment Coordinator, Izumi on completing her first Ironman in Chattanooga on September 27th. She has been training hard for the last 5 months and it paid off big time!

Izumi placed 2nd in the female category for her age group! She was awarded a slot to go to the Kona Ironman World Championship in 2016! We couldn’t be more proud! Way to go Izumi!!!!

Community of Smiles a Success!

On Saturday, September 12th, Dr. Uetsuki volunteered his time with Community of Smiles in Lawrenceville, GA.  He arrived at the event before daylight and there was already quite a line of people waiting in hopes to get a number for free treatment.

Numbers were given out at 6 am to the first 225 people in line.  Volunteers were available to greet patients and make them feel comfortable.  It was a long day for many but so worth it.  Dr. Uetsuki is proud to have been a part of the event and to have played a role in the treatment of so many in need.

Treatment Coordinator, Karen Celebrates 20 Years at HMDC

In case you didn't know it, we at Henderson Mill Dental Care consider 20 years a BIG deal!  Last Thursday we celebrated Treatment Coordinator, Karen's 20th Year with Henderson Mill Dental Care in grand style!  Retired Dentist and former owner, Dr. Steve Morgan was in attendance as well.




Doctors and Staff celebrated over a lunch catered by Chipotle Mexican Grill.  Karen was presented with flowers, one for every year of service and our traditional Gold and Diamond Pin custom designed with our Henderson Mill logo.

Special thanks to Glen of Star Blaze Jewelers in Tucker who designed our anniversary pin over 10 years ago and creates them for us still today!


When asked for gift ideas, Karen had mentioned she wanted an upgrade on her ring.  Well, we provided her an upgrade alright.  It's certainly not to be missed and will light up a dark room.




We did also provide her with a gift certificate to help with a ring upgrade of her choosing at Blaze Jewelers.  And the last gift was a unique find indeed!  We provided Karen with a custom made bobblehead doll.  Be sure to check it out during your next visit to Henderson Mill Dental Care.
